Port waste reception facilities
The waste reception station is a facility consisting of separate units for storage of bilge, wastewater, sludge, waste oil and garbage from vessels coming to the port for charge/discharge and wastewater treatment plant according to the regulations on receiving waste from vessels and management of wastes.
Bilge under the scope of MARPOL ANNEX-I is dewatered in our waste reception facility. The residual wastewater is treated in the plant to be discharged according to requirements of the regulations on controlling water pollution (S.K.K.Y.). Sludge, waste oil and dewatered bilge oil are sent to the licensed facilities to be disposed.
Wastewater under the scope of MARPOL ANNEX-I is treated in the plant to be discharged according to requirements of the regulations on controlling water pollution (S.K.K.Y.).
Garbage under the scope of MARPOL ANNEX-I is sent to the relevant municipality’s solid waste storage area to be disposed.
